Jamshedpur, December 8: A case has been registered against three persons in connection with the shooting of Ashutosh Ojha alias Anshu near Dimna Road’s Tar Factory at 6 PM on Friday. The accused have been identified as Nishu alias Nisar Khan, Sarabjit Singh alias Sabbe, and Rinku Seth.
Police have apprehended Sarabjit Singh alias Sabbe and are interrogating him. According to sources, the assailants fled the scene after the pistol malfunctioned during the firing.
Ashutosh was returning from the Friday market near Dimna Lake on his motorcycle, accompanied by a youth named Mangal. The incident came to light after police questioned Mangal.
Ashutosh is currently receiving treatment at TMH and is reported to be in stable condition. An FIR has been lodged based on his statement, and investigations are going on.
