Threat to BCCL GM’s life: Police investigates complaint against outsourcing company employee

Dhanbad: Hitesh Verma, General Manager of Sales at Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) Headquarters, has reported receiving threats on his life from Kumbhnath Singh, an employee of AT Devprabha Outsourcing Company. The GM has formally lodged a written complaint at Saraidhela police station, detailing the series of threatening incidents.

According to the application submitted to the police, Kumbhnath Singh allegedly made threatening phone calls to GM Hitesh Verma around 3 o’clock on Tuesday. The conversation escalated into verbal abuse, leading to the disconnection of the call. Subsequently, at approximately 7:30 pm, six individuals arrived at the GM’s residence, where they reportedly threatened him with dire consequences and harm if he did not comply with their demands. The threat included a mention of hitting him with a car.

In response to the complaint, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter. The focus of the inquiry will likely include tracing the source of the threats, understanding the motives behind such actions, and ensuring the safety and security of Hitesh Verma.
