Ranchi: Campaigning for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections in the state will come to an end tomorrow. Polling will take place on 24th April in Rajmahal, Dumka, Godda and Dhanbad.
There are a total of 72 candidates in fray for the four seats. There are over 61 lakh voters out of whom there are 32.19 lakh male voters. Voting will start at 7 am and continue till 4 pm.
Security arrangements have been tightened in view of the election. Paramilitary forces will be deployed at sensitive and highly sensitive election booths. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Narendra Modi has addressed meetings in three of these constituencies so far.
Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has also addressed a public meeting in Godda. This region is the stronghold of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. JMM president Sibu Soren is contesting the election from Dumka. Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president Babulal Marandi is also contesting from this seat.
