Third Day: Shri Lakshminarayan Mandir Pran Pratishtha Mahayagna

Jamshedpur, July 5: The third day of the Shri Lakshminarayan Mandir Pran Pratishtha Mahayagna saw a devotional atmosphere as pre-invited deities were worshipped on Friday. This was followed by the Agni Sthapana and Havan ceremonies. The main Yajman (host) was Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy, with many other local residents also participating as Yajmans.

According to sources, various rituals such as Dhritadhivas, Gandhadhivas, Pushpadhivas, and Phaladhivas were performed for the idols set for Pran Pratishtha. The ceremonies included an Aarti and Pushpanjali program. The proceedings concluded at 5 pm.

Pandit Vinod Pandey reported that the day’s rituals involved the use of 50 tins of ghee, 30 quintals of fruits, one quintal of flowers, and 25 kg of Gandha Chandan.

Saturday’s scheduled program includes the worship of invited deities, Paath (recitation of scriptures), Havan, Devsnapan (ceremonial bath of deities), a city tour, and Shayyadhivas.
