Jamshedpur: A theft occurred in the Parsudih area when thieves broke into a local temple and a nearby shop, making off with thousands of rupees. The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, had its back door broken open, and the donation box, which had not been opened for over a year, was stolen. Locals estimate that the thieves made away with about 10,000 to 15,000 rupees from the box.
The priest discovered the theft when he arrived in the morning and found the donation box missing. After further inspection, he found the broken lock and the discarded box in a nearby street. An iron rod, believed to have been used to break the lock, was also found at the scene.
In addition to the temple theft, the thieves targeted the Singh General Store, which is located near the temple. The thieves stole cash amounting to 8,000 to 10,000 rupees and some food items from the shop.
A complaint has been lodged with the police, and investigations are underway. The police are reviewing footage from nearby CCTV cameras to identify the suspects.
