Jamshedpur, Jan 7: Thieves decamped with cash worth Rs 2 lakh from the shop of Vishnu Agarwal near Rajasthan Bhawan along Dimna Road in Mango on Wednesday late night.
The shop owner found the shutter open when he reached the shop on Thursday morning and cash missing from counter. When the owner searched the CCTV footage on his mobile, he found that thieves had entered the shop at around 4. 25 am. The CCTV footage shows one person entered with a iron rod and breaking open the cash counter and took away the money and also giving direction to some persons standing outside which shows that more than one person was involved in the theft incident.

The owner immediately informed Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce secretary Akash Shah about the crime, who in turn informed the Mango thana and thereafter police reached the spot and took the statement of the shop owner.
Bharatiya Jan Morcha leader Dharmendra Prasad and Praveen Singh also reached the shop and asked the Mango thana officer-in-charge to arrest the culprits as soon as possible.
Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce president Mohanlal Agarwal demanded the SSP East Singhbhum M. Tamilvanan to ensure that culprits are brought to book within 48 hours and expressed concern at the growing incidents of theft in shops.
