Jamshedpur, Sep 19: Unidentified thieves stole away cash and ornaments worth Rs 40,000 from a company quarter allotted to one Naresh Sarkar in Farm Area Road Number 18 under Kadma police station area late Sunday night.
Sarkar and his family members learnt about the theft around 2.15 am when the returned home. They found the lock of the backdoor broken and found the house in a mess. The almirah locker was broken and household goods were lying here and there around the house. The thieves took away cash worth Rs 7000, a gold ring, ear rings, silver kangans, silver chain, ATM cards and other valuables from the house.
Police lodged an FIR against unidentified persons and began investigation into the incident.
