Jamshedpur, October 1:Thieves targeted a jewellery shop and a house under Sidgora police station area of East Singhbhum district.
Thieves stole goods worth lakhs by breaking the lock of TK Jewelers and Bhuyandih Gwala Basti resident Ganesh Yadav located at Kanu Bhatta in the area. The incident happened on Thursday midnight.
Earlier, thieves had committed theft in two shops in Sidgora market.
Police has started investigating the CCTV camera of the area and complaints from both the victims of theft has been registered at Sidgoda police station.
Tapan Sonar, owner of Sidgora Kanu Bhatta TK Jewelers, told that his shop was closed at 8.30 pm on Thursday night. On Friday morning at 5.30 am, locals informed about the theft by calling on his mobile and told that the shutter of the shop is raised up and locks broken.
On searching found gold necklace, silver anklets, weight fork, sofa etc. have been stolen from his shop. Goods worth Rs 60,000 has been damaged.
On the other hand Ganesh Kumar Yadav, a resident of Sidgora Gwala Basti said that jewelery and cash worth one lakh rupees have been stolen from the house. He had gone to Mirzapur his native village on September 23 and returned home on the night of 29 September. That day he remained at his elder mother’s house. On the morning of 30 September when he went to his house he found the lock of the house broken and goods are scattered. Three jhumka sets, two chains, anklets, silver bangles and Rs 10,000 were stolen from the cupboard.
