Jamshedpur: A theft accused attempted suicide by drinking battery water while in police custody at Sonari police station. The accused, identified as Nikit, is a deaf and mute resident of Jugsalai.
On Monday, Nikit was caught on charges of theft and handed over to the police. While being interrogated at the police station, he drank the water stored in a battery, causing his health to deteriorate.
Upon noticing his worsening condition, the police immediately rushed him to MGM Hospital for treatment. Nikit is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
