Hazaribagh: Border Security Force (BSF) will celebrate its 59th Foundation Day on 1st December in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. A national program is going to be organized at the Border Security Force Training Center and School located in Meru of the district. This year, over 1000 BSF soldiers will showcase their strength.
BSF has been celebrating its foundation day in Delhi. For the last two years, the trend of celebrating Foundation Day has been started in the training center of BSF. After Jaisalmer in 2021 and Amritsar in 2022, the event is going to be organized in Hazaribagh this year. Preparations for the Foundation Day celebrations are also going on in full swing. Training Center IG KS Banyal gave this information during a press conference at Meru Camp on Tuesday.
Key Highlights:More than 1000 soldiers and officers will be seen in the parade.
Invitations are also being sent to special dignitaries, Border Security Force gallantry medal winners, families of gallantry medal winners (posthumously), serving border guards and retired BSF officers to attend the Foundation Day programme.
There is a possibility of the arrival of the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah.
At present there are total 192 battalions of BSF.
BSF guarding various international borders as well as internal security duties, law and order, election duties, dense areas of Orissa and Chhattisgarh.
It is making an important contribution in stopping terrorism and Naxalism in the forests, inaccessible hills of states like Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and snowy areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
All the Frontier Contingent contingents of BSF are taking part.
The program will include Motorcycle teams of Jambaaz and Seema Bhawani, camel and cavalry squads, highly trained dogs, helicopters of BSF Air Wing, BSF Artillery, Anshru Gas Unit Tekanpur, Mirchi Bomb and paragliding of Adventure Training Institute.
Various cultural programs including Kalaripayattu, Maniyaro Raas, Yoga, Khadiya folk dance will be presented.
Training Center IG KS Banyal said that he is feeling very proud that this year the responsibility of the Foundation Day Parade of the Border Security Force has been given to Meru Sansthan. Preparations for the program have been started. Men and women (troops) of all frontier contingents of BSF are participating in this parade.
IG Banyal also said that BSF, being the first line of defense of India, currently has a total of 192 battalions of BSF guarding various international borders as well as internal security duties, law and order, election duties, dense areas of Orissa and Chhattisgarh.
