The Milanee to the aid of famished families

Jamshedpur, May 7: The monument that enshrines more than 100 years of the city�s socio-cultural journey, The Milanee has a social face too with the club reaching out to a desperate mankind in times of calamity. The measure of promulgating nationwide lockdown, now in its 3.0 phase as a measure against the spread of COVID � 19 threat has seen the good side but the negative aspect is people tottering under the load of acute food crisis. The Milanee general secretary Dwipankar �Raju� Dutta said, �The club, besides propagating cultural pursuits through more than 100 years has always being reaching out a helping hand to people in times of calamities like this current period of corona strike. The Milanee is making every effort to ensure that the worst hit people do not suffer from paucity of basic food essentials.�

A Milanee team led by Raju Dutta which included Gautam Acharya, Gautam Guha, Mihir Bhattacharya, Probal Tarafdar, Kakoli Tarafdar, Keya Kundu and Moushumi Bhattacharya today visited Pardesi Para in Sonari and distributed essential items contained in packets to 35 families constituting the economic bottom liners. The Milanee Club officials are constantly identifying such families and are reaching out such aid to them.
