The immortal tales of Meera and Narsi Mehta in a musical on Nov 27

Jamshedpur: It will be for the first time that a musical play based on the immortal tales of Meerabai and Narsi Mehta is to be staged in the city on November 27 at the Rajendra Vidyalaya auditorium. Organized by the religious group Diwane Lakhdatar, the musical play will commence at 5 pm.

The performing team comprising 13 artistes from Kolkata and Mumbai will be arriving in Jamshedpur to present the three hour creation designed to spread an aura of piety. A special audio effect system is being put in place at the Rajendra Vidyalaya auditorium to enhance the effect of the musical presentation. Flower decoration will be done by artists from Kolkata.

A 21 member organizing committee of the group is looking into the minutest details to ensure a perfect presentation of the musical drama. The organizing committee includes Arun Bankrewal, Ashok Goyal, Deepa Banka, Gyanchand Jaiswal, Durga Prasad Sharma, Shiv Prakash Sharma, Ratish Likhra, Bajranglal Agrawal, Sushil Sharma, Kailash Agrawal, Vijay Goel and Ritesh Sharma. There is no entry fee for the show.
