Ten achievers awarded at inaugural of Agrasen Jayanti celebrations

Jamshedpur, Sept 30:  The eight-day Agrasen Jayanti celebrations organized by Purvi Singhbhum Zila Agrawal Sammelan (PSZAS) got off to a momentous start on Thursday at the Shri Mahalakshmi Mandir Auditorium along Thakurbari Road in Sakchi. The inauguration saw 10 achievers from the Marwari community being honoured for their brilliance in their respective fields of pursuits. Shri Satyanarayan Thakurbari Trust came in for special mention for the exquisite construction of the temple.

Mountaineer and Mount Everest scaler Padma Shri Premlata Agarwal and Bank of Baroda’s Assistant General Manager Rakesh Kumar Goyal were present as the guests of honor at the inaugural ceremony.

Girdharilal Goenka, the current President of Kolkata Pinjrapole Society, Chakulia Gaushala, was decorated with the Gau Sevak Purushottam Das Jhunjhunwala Award for sterling performance in the field of protection and care of cows.

Litterateur Suresh Chaudhary Indu who has authored 26 books and founded the Literary Institute Creator, was honored with Bhaiji Hanuman Prasad Poddar Award. Due to ill-health, he could not attend the program.

International young chess player Vatsal Singhania, who achieved the second International Masters Norm in the Serbia Paracin Open, was honored with the Padma Bhushan Dr. Vijaypat Singhania Award.

Mountaineers Neha and Udit Agarwal were decorated with Padma Shri Premlata Agarwal Award in the field of adventure sports.

Iron Lady Ritu Rungta, a certified yoga trainer in the field of yoga and meditation, was honored with the Padma Bhushan Satyanarayan Goenka Award.

Adarsh ​​Agarwal, a 2016 batch Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IAAS) cadre officer was awarded the Economist Bimal Jalan Award for excellence in the field of Administrative Services (Audit). Presently Adarsh ​​is currently the Deputy Accountant General (Audit) in CAG Patna. Adarsh Agarwal’s younger brother Nitin collected the award on his behalf.

In the field of Administrative Service (Revenue), Naveen Agarwal, an officer of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) of the 2016 batch, was honored with the Padma Shri Surajmal Agrawal Award. Presently Navin Agarwal is posted as Under Secretary in GST Council, Delhi. In his absence this honor was received by his father cum advocate of Jamshedpur Bar Binod Agrawal and mother Padmavati Agrawal.

Abhishek Agarwal, a 2017 batch Indian Engineering Services (IES) officer in the field of Administrative Services (Engineering), was honored with the Padma Shri Dr. Lokesh Kumar Singhal Award. Presently Abhishek is posted as Executive Engineer (EE) in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Guwahati, Assam. In his absence, this award was received by his mother Kavita Agarwal and father Kamal Agarwal.

In the field of Professional Service (Corporate), senior advocate Vikas Mittal was awarded the Padma Bhushan Dr. Laxmi Mall Singhvi Award. Presently he is posted as Chief Legal Advisor in Tata Steel. Young businessman Sachin Agarwal Ringasia was honored with the Sachin-Binny Bansal Award in the field of startups. He has started a chain of retail stores of fresh fruits and vegetables in the name of Urban Farm Fresh in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Visakhapatnam with 25 outlets across these cities. In his absence this honor was received by his uncle, Prince Ringasia.

In the category of Institutional Award in the field of excellent innovation, Shri Satyanarayan Marwari Thakurbari Trust, Sakchi was awarded Agroha Dham Award, which was received by Kamal Agarwal, the trustee of the body.

The welcome address was delivered by the PSZAS President Santosh Agrawal. The programme was anchored by General Secretary Sandeep Murarka and vote of thanks was proposed by State Spokesperson Kamal Kishore Agarwal. The inaugural program was organized under the supervision of Vice President Mukesh Mittal, Treasurer Rajesh Jaisuka and Agarwal Yuva Manch President Abhishek Agarwal Goldie and General Secretary Sunny Sanghi.
