Jamshedpur, March 17: Sidhgora police took into custody four minors in connection with the alleged theft of Rs 2.5 lakh from the donation box at the local sun temple and Panchmukhi Hanuman temple.
Police officials said the minors had confessed their involvement in the thefts. The accused persons had stolen cash from the two temples on 26th January last. Police have recovered the stolen cash.

Sources said the accused persons are of the age group 15-16 years. The thefts had taken place on the night of 26th January last. The accused persons had dumped the donation box behind the temple after taking out the cash. The theft transpired on 27th January when the priest reached the temple. Locks on the temple gates were broken and the donation box was missing. After search, the donation box was recovered behind the temple. The thieves had stolen Rs 2 lakh from the sun temple and Rs 50,000 from Panchmukhi temple.
