Jamshedpur, Oct 23: Former Telco Workers Union president Amlesh Kumar has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the judgment of a division bench of Jharkhand High Court in the matter of union elections. Sources said the appeal has not been listed as yet.
Sources said Amlesh Kumar has claimed that the union is not registered and hence its election cannot be held and that the Bihar government had cancelled its registration number.
Meanwhile, former union general secretary Prakash Kumar had filed a caveat in the Supreme Court on 17th September soon after the High Court judgment. He claimed that the appeal was filed with the intention to delay the elections.
