Jusco Shramik Union: Opposition leaders stage dharna

Jamshedpur, Oct 23: Opposition leaders Gopal Jaisawal and SL Das of Jusco Shramik Union staged a dharna before the union office on Sunday alleging that the election officer CS Jha was acting under the influence of former union president Raghunath Pandey. They alleged that there was total lack of transparency in the function of the election committee.

Jaisawal said the election committee had pasted the notice regarding nomination forms 6 am on Sunday and the time for taking the nomination form was from 8 am to 10 am. But the time the employees could read the notice, the time for taking the nomination form was over, he said.

Sources said the union elections would be held on 26^th October.

Opposition leaders had demanded that the elections should be held after Chhath.
