Teenagers robbed of mobile phones near railway station

Jamshedpur : A gang of miscreants snatched cellphones from two teenagers including a physically challenged near Tatanagar railway station last night.

The victims, identified as Mahesh Kumar and Munna Yadav, were found in unconscious state at a place near Tatanagar railway station under Bagbera police station area.

Local residents rescued them and rushed them to the MGM Medical College and Hospital’s emergency.

The condition of injured identified as Mahesh Kumar continues to be critical. A resident of Ramtekri Road, Jugsalai, Mahesh (15) would run a betel shop in Jugsalai.

He has sustained grievous injuries in the mouth, head and chest and continue to be senseless.

Officer-in-charge, Bagbera police station, Shailendra Kumar said that an incident of assault and snatching of cell-phone from two teen-agers has taken place.

” We are looking for the miscreants involved in the act. We would also intensify night patrolling on the stretch where the unfortunate incident took place,” said the officer-in-charge.
