While Vijay Anand Moonka and Manav Kedia with their team will enter the poll ring, Suresh Sonthalia and Bharat Vasani have announced their candidature for the race to the hustings.
Vijay Anand Moonka: Priority to connect Jamshedpur via direct air routes
Jamshedpur, Sept 11: Current SCCI President, Vijay Anand Moonka said that connecting Jamshedpur to direct air routes, providing DVC and JBVNL electricity at cheaper rates in Kolhan, initiating registration in the Tata Steel command area and attracting maximum investments in Kolhan will be priorities. Responding to a query, Moonka stated, “We regret that the Dhalbhumgarh Airport project has yet to take off. However, our constant efforts to iron out several rail related issues have met with success for the benefit of traders. We have also beautified the Chamber Bhawan and it was the first time that SCCI was represented in the Land Allotment Committee in Jamshedpur.”
Current President left promises unfulfilled: Suresh Sonthalia
Jamshedpur, Sept 11: Former SCCI President Suresh Sonthalia accused current President, Vijay Anand Moonka of not fulfilling his promises and leaving traders dissatisfied and disappointed. “It is upon the urgings of traders that I have entered the poll fray. As for the SCCI Bhawan beautification claim, let me tell you that this is a constant process that has been pursued by several Presidents earlier. If needed, changes will be made to the Chamber building during our tenure too. During the current tenure, no headway has been made in the Chhaganlal Dayaljee Rs 30 lakh loot case. The current SCCI administrative body did not perform in favour of traders in the Seraikela Market rent increase issue. Coordinating with the district administration and government for traders, attracting more investment in Kolhan and making efforts to regulate online trade will be our priorities.”
