Jamshedpur, Oct 1: Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) organized Soumen Das knock out Football Tournament for the students of Std VIII- XII.
The tournament is organised every year in memory of JPS student Soumen Das who was an avid footballer.
The students of Std VIII- XII were full of enthusiasm as the football match gave the students an opportunity to relax and de-stress as they had spent the last ten days studying for their Ifirst Term Exam which got over on September 26.
The champions trophy was bagged by the students of Std X C led by their captain Manish Naidu and the Runner��Up trophy was won by students of Std IX B led by their captain Akash.
It was a day of victory for the Games teachers Saumitro & Mohan, to see all the teams playing a fine match. The tournament was provided active support by the Sports Minister Syed Saif , Raman, Alok, Gautam, Anand , Hemant ond other students.
According to them the joy of participation in a sport itself instills in the students a sense of confidence & discipline.
