Jamshedpur, July 6: Tata Steel’s Sports Department organised a successful Inter Divisional Carrom Tournament (Women) on July 4-5 at the JFC Media Centre, JRD Tata Sports Complex. Chief Guest, Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Sports Tata Steel graced the occasion.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from a total of 80 participants from 19 units of Tata Steel.
In a display of exceptional skill and sportsmanship, the team from Steel Manufacturing emerged as the winners, showcasing their prowess and determination, whereas OMQ bagged the runner’s up position. General Office emerged as the 2nd runner’s up in this tournament.
To ensure fair play and adherence to the rules, the tournament benefited from the expertise of renowned technical officials, including Tilak Ram, Jaswant Sahoo and Ajay Hembram who performed their roles admirably.
Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting sports and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among its workforce was evident throughout the tournament. The event provided an excellent platform for employees to showcase their Carrom skills and foster a healthy competition.
