Jamshedpur, October 27: The three-day state level kho-kho competition concluded at Tinplate Stadium on Thursday.
Final of several boys and girls competition category were held on Thursday were six teams were crowned winners. In the under-19 girls category Seraikela defeated Bokaro while in the under-19 boys category Seraikela defeated Gumla. In the under-17 boys Seraikela beat Bokaro while in the under-17 girls Gumla won defeating Ramgarh.
In the under-14 girls category Gumla beat Ramgarh while in the under-14 boys category Seraikela beat Ranchi.
The sports competition concluded at 3 pm after which the chief guest Jamshedpur MP Vidyut Varan Mahato awarded prized to the winners and said that central and the state government is taking steps for the all-round development of players and would provide all help for the betterment of the sports person.
Addressing the gathering, DC Amit Kumar said, all the players, coaches, team management provided full support in making the event successful.
Sports injects positive attitude within the participants which helps them in moving forward. �District Administration is always ready to provide support to the sportsperson of the district.
MP Vidyut Varan Mahato, DC, DDC, Zilla Parishad chairperson, managing director of Tinplate Tarun Daga awarded trophies to the winners. Later, scouts presented cultural programme. Seraikela team put up the best performance and won events in all three days. The programme ended with national anthem.
