Chaibasa, Sept. 12: Team RNP Singpukahria defeated team SS group Chaibasa by 4 goals to 2 in the final to win the football tournament organised by Shikuru Sai Dewana Club Shikrusai ground on Sunday.
A total of 44 football teams participated in the five-day long tournament. Former MLA and senior BJP leader Sukhram Oraon was chief guest for the final match and awarded trophies to the winner.
The winning team RNP Singhpukahria was awarded a trophy and Rs 20 thousand cash prize. Addressing the gathering, Oraon said that he has been promoting sports, art and culture in the region.
The BJP led government is constituting Kamal club in order to promote sports, art and culture in village, panchayat, block and district level and the players should participate and take benefit.
Present during the final was Sadar Block head Narayan Banra, Tarun Kumar Swainya, Niresh Devgam, Panchayat Samity member Jay Kishan Biruli and a large number of spectators.
