Team NTHA thrashes Gumla 8-0 in Jharkhand Sub-Junior State Hockey Championship

Jamshedpur, August 11: The 2^nd day of the Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Sub-Junior State Hockey Championship 2024 (Men) under the aegis of Hockey Jharkhand commenced at Naval Tata Hockey Academy, Jamshedpur on August 11.

The 2^nd day was graced by Vaibhav Gupta, Head of Infrastructure, Tata Steel along with G N Sharan, Former Administrator NTHA,  Akash, Area Manager, Sports Academies Adventure Program, Tata Steel. 

A total of 8 teams participated in the Sub-Junior Category (Under 17).

The first match was played between Team Ranchi vs Team Simdega. A thrilling match ended in a hard-fought 2-2 draw! Player Albert Soreng from Simdega was the Player of the Match for his exceptional performance.

In the Second Match, Team NTHA beat Team Gumla by 8-0 where Player Joj Kuchap from Gumla emerged as Player of the Match. In the 3^rd clash between Khunti vs West Singhbhum, Team Khunti scored 14 goals to beat West Singhbhum by 14-0.

Player Anuj Kumar Mahato from Team Khunti was the Player of the match. The last match played between Team Hazaribagh and Team East Singhbhum where Team Hazaribagh scored 19-1 goals against Team East Singhbhum. Player Roshan Tuti from Team Hazaribagh was the Player of the Match.
