Jamshedpur, Jan. 18: Little Flower School (LFS) emerged the champion of “27th Inter School Seuli Seal Memorial Quiz Contest” hosted by D.B.M.S. English School on Wednesday.
In a closely fought contest, team LFS scored 90 points followed by Hill Top School (65 points) which bagged the second position and team Loyola School scored 30 points to end in the third place.
The Quiz Master for the day was Vinay Mudaliar, a quiz master of repute, and Founder of ‘Mindcogs”, a prominent quiz which believes in “Spreading Knowledge in an Engaging way”.
Vinay is known for his high energy, wit, high quality content and his connect with students. This quiz is organised for students of Std V, VI and VII. Around 20 schools participated in the preliminary round where their knowledge was tested over a wide spectrum. Six teams qualified for the finals. Loyola School, Hill Top School, Little Flower School, JH Tarapore, Sacred Heart Convent and hosts DBMS English School.
The quiz comprised six rounds where the children were quizzed on a wide array of subjects wherein they had to exercise their wits to battle it out for the top spot. It was truly an infotainment Quiz which was enjoyed by both the participants and the audience.
This quiz is held every year in loving memory of Seuli, a student of DBMS English School, who tragically lost her life on 3rd March, 1989.
The quiz was also witnessed by DBMS Chairperson, Bhanumathi Neelekantan, B.Chandrashekhar and Lalitha Chandrashekhar, Joint Chairpersons , DBMS Board of Trustees, Hema Raghavan, Secretary , DBMS Managing Committee, Meena Mohan, Joint Secretary, DBMS Managing Committee, Padma Shiva, Treasurer, DBMS Managing Committee and the Principal, Rajani Shekhar, who helped in the smooth conduct of the quiz.
