Jamshedpur,: Team ITS defeated team Finance & Accounts by six wickets in the final to win the Inter Departmental Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament for Executives at Armoury Ground on Wednesday.
Batting first F&A team scored 31 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 7.4 overs. From ITS- Manpreet Singh took 3 wickets.
In reply ITS team scored 35 loosing just 2 wickets in 6.2 overs. From F&A-Ranjan took 1 wicket.
Ashish Kumar, Head Sports was the chief guest and distributed the prizes along with Sandeep Bhattacharya, Chief (F&A). On the occasion, Bagicha Singh, Atul Kumar, Firoz Khan, Punam and many executives of both the departments were present to witness the final.
Satish Kumar Singh conducted the prize distribution function. Avinash Kumar conducted the entire tournament and was ably supported by Satish Singh, Punam, Renu, V Ramakrishna, Anand Sahu and his staffs team of Armoury ground.
Sports department of Tata Steel had conducted the Inter Departmental Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament for Executives. 330 executives representing 35 departments participated in the tournament. Matches were played on knock out basis with 8 over a side.
