Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee is going to launch a campaign against non-woven polypropylene carry bags across the city from 18th June onwards. Several teams of JNAC will be conducting surprise raids at different places in the city and confiscating the banned carry bags. Initially, action would be mainly taken against major stockists and users. The amount of fine would not be exorbitant in the beginning.

Many stockists of non-woven carry bags made of polypropylene today informed the Special Officer of JNAC, Sanjay Kumar, that they had sent their stocks to New Delhi and Kolkata.
