Teachers should receive senior pay scale soon: Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar

Jamshedpur: Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar has urged the state government to grant senior pay scale benefits to government school teachers who have completed 12 years of service but are yet to receive their due benefits. Raising the issue during zero hour in the assembly on Tuesday, he also demanded a simplified transfer process for teachers, emphasizing that the current system lacks efficiency and causes significant inconvenience.

MLA Sardar highlighted that post graduate teachers (PG) have been serving in the same location for years due to the absence of a structured transfer mechanism. He stressed that this situation is not just a local issue but affects teachers across the state. Calling for immediate government intervention, he urged that teachers’ demands be met on a priority basis to ensure they can perform their duties without administrative obstacles.

The move has been welcomed by teachers’ organizations, who have expressed gratitude to MLA for raising their concerns and advocating for their rights.
