Jamshedpur, Oct 29: The process of recruitment of teachers of various faculties has commenced at Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU). A notification has been issued in this regard by the Registrar of the university. In the first phase, applications have been invited from retired teachers. The retired teachers of constituent colleges of any university or the PG department of universities are eligible to apply. The appointments would be made on contract basis for a tenure of 11 months. The selected teachers would get an honorarium of Rs 500 per class. The maximum amount payable to them would be Rs 25,000 per month. Applications have been invited in English, Economics, Philosophy, History, Mathematics, Political Science, Chemistry, Zoology, Geography and Commerce. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Anjila Gupta said the issue pertaining to scarcity of teachers would be resolved soon. She said Ph.D students would also teach UG students to help the university counter manpower crisis and gain experience.
