Teachers learn to improvise and harness their teaching skills

Jamshedpur, September 13: The 2nd day of Capacity Building Programme for in-service teachers, teaching Classes III to V various subjects like English, Social Science, Science, Computer Science started with rejuvenated spirit, enthusiasm and exuberance on 13th September, 2016, in the premises of DAV Public School, Bistupur.

The training programme was organised by Regional Training Centre, Jamshedpur Zone under the aegis of DAV CAE, New Delhi. The workshop for subjects Hindi, Maths, Sanskrit and Physical Education was conducted at DAVPS, NIT Campus, Adityapur with no less enthusiasm and gusto.

In this workshop, the teachers were taught how to improvise and harness their teaching skills, how to make the question paper according to CBSE pattern and principles of ideal evaluation as per CBSE norms.

In her address to the participating teachers Pragya Singh, Principal of DAV, Bistupur said that being in this teaching profession, we teachers have got the golden opportunity to bring smile and cheer on the faces of more and more children and transform and change their lives and leave an indelible mark on their personality.

we should feel proud as teachers and we should promise ourselves everyday that we have to lay the foundation of changes in the society for the betterment through our students. In his address to the teachers, honourable Regional Director of DAV Public Schools, Jamshedpur Zone said that teachers should be prompt in learning the latest methods adopted to teach a particular subject.

In Science, the schedule was as follows : Power of question (KAUS) by A.K. Mandal (DAVPS, Bistupur), design and development of activity by Bharti Mishra (DAVPS, Bistupur) and sanjay thakur, innovation in teaching of science by Indu Prasad (DAV, Bistupur), this was followed by the feedback session.

In Computer science- basic features of MS Office by Mala Ganguly (DAVPS, Bistupur), advance features of MS Office by Mala Ganguly, inheritance by S. Mukherjee (DAVPS Chaibasa) , basic level and advance of HTML by Pawan kumar Ambastha (DAVPS, Chaibasa), data file handling by Harinder singh (DAVPS, NIT, Campus, Adityapur), basic and advance level of MS-Access and XML by Ravi Mandal (DAVPS, Bistupur) and data structure (Linked List, stack, Queue) by Jaya Chakraborty (DAVPS, Bistupur). This was followed by feedback session.

In Biology- Enzyme and its role in day to day activities by Raju Kumar Singh(DAVPS, Bistupur), introduction to recombinant DNA technology by Shashikala (DAVPS, Bistupur). This was followed by feedback session.

The two days workshop concluded successfully and smoothly with distribution of certificates and a promise to ourselves that as teachers we will work in co-operation upholding the ethics of teaching profession and to meet each other soon in another workshop.
