Jamshedpur: Teachers� Day was celebrated with fervour by first year students of the Mass Communication department of Karim City College on Saturday.
The function was presided over by Dr M Zakaria, principal of the college. It was also attended by Dr Neha Tiwari, Shahid Anwar, Rajesh Rai, Nida Zakaria, S Sajid Parvez, Sikander Khan and Farzana Begum.
A cultural programme was organized on the occasion. The students danced and sang songs apart from taking part in games and performing drama.
An antakshari was organized for the teachers. The principal also participated in the event. The programme started with a prayer.
The welcome speech was given by Nishant and Supriya. A vote of thanks was proposed by Puja. The principal and teachers praised the students for organizing a wonderful programme to mark the Teachers� Day.
