Nashik Conversion Scandal: TCS Suspends Prime Accused Nida Khan

Nashik (IANS): Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has suspended Nida Khan, the primary accused in a controversial case involving alleged religious conversion at the company’s Nashik branch.

According to an official company communication dated April 9, 2026, TCS placed the Process Associate under suspension with immediate effect. The firm cited the “seriousness of the matter” and Khan’s current inability to perform her duties while in judicial or police custody.

As part of the interim administrative action, the company revoked Khan’s access to its internal network and ordered her to surrender all company assets. TCS further directed her to refrain from entering any office premises or working remotely until HR concludes its review.

The case involves allegations that Khan pressured female colleagues to adopt Islamic customs, specifically regarding dress and behavior. Complainants further alleged that she encouraged or coerced them to follow religious practices, including offering prayers, changing dietary habits, and adopting religious symbols.

While TCS took this disciplinary step, officials clarified that the suspension does not amount to a final determination of guilt. Authorities continue to probe the allegations to verify the extent of the misconduct. The company emphasized that it will decide on further action based on the investigation’s final findings.
