Jamshedpur : The global giant in IT , the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) conducted an Online Recruitment Test today for the students of RVS College of Engineering & Technology.
Over 125 eligible candidates from four different engineering streams – B. Tech (Computer Science Engineering), B. Tech (Electronics & Communication Engineering), B. Tech (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) and B. Tech (Mechanical Engineering) took the test.
This test is a part of fresh recruitment of TCS, which is on the drive of hiring engineers whose year of graduation is 2014. The eligibility criteria for the test were all through first class with no backlog paper in any of the semesters.
The students who appeared in the test are upbeat of the success. The Director of the institute Prof. (Dr.) M.P. Singh and the Head (Training & Placement) Prof. N. Roy Chowdhury are hopeful of the outcome of this TCS Campus Recruitment drive and expected larger success percentage. Prof. (Dr.) Singh told that the student of RVS College have proven track records in academics with as many as four gold medalists at the University level in the past five years. Dr. Singh and Prof. Roy Chowdhury told that the final year students of B. Tech course could not take some of the recruitment tests they were supposed to.
It was because of the delay in conducting 6th Semester examination and the subsequent publication of result and the Cross-list. According to Dr. Singh, it is heartening to note that the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Jharkhand is serious over the formation of Technical University in the state. Hetold that once the Technical University comes into existence, the semester timings, conducting examination and publication of result will certainly improve.
They are looking forward towards the new incumbent Vice Chancellor, Controller of Examinations who may take up this issue in the interest of the students.
