Tatanagar: Villager stop passenger train on Howrah-Mumbai route for 3 hrs

Jamshedpur, August 11. The anger of the villagers erupted today in protest against passing the goods train by stopping the passenger train by stopping the passenger train.

On Friday, the passengers of Chakradharpur Tata MEMU passenger blocked the Howrah-Mumbai main road for more than three hours by stopping the train near Yashpur railway gate. Due to which the traffic on Howrah-Mumbai main road came to a complete standstill for three hours.

Passenger (villagers) told that Chakradharpur-Tata MEMU passenger is a major mode of transport for passengers traveling from dozens of stations like Chakradharpur, Rajkharsawan, Sini, Gamharia.

Everyday hundreds of laborers come by this train and work in various companies located in Adityapur industrial area.

But due to the delay of the train every day, the laborers are not able to reach their industrial establishments on time, for which they have to bear the brunt.  Being late, he is not given the opportunity to work on that day.

Passengers told that several times complaints were made to senior railway officials and demands were made to run the train on time. But no attention was paid to their demand.

Even on Friday, after the opening of the passenger train from Chakradharpur, it was coming stopping at different places. Due to which the train was very late. As soon as the train reached near Yashpur gate located on Sini-Gamharia railway line, the train once again stood there. This enraged the already agitated passengers and together all the passengers got down from the train and gathered in front of the engine.

After getting the information about the rail track being jammed, senior railway officials reached the spot and talked to the passengers and assured them that every possible effort would be made to run the train on time. After a lot of persuasion by a senior railway official, the anger of the passengers subsided. After that, the movement of trains resumed.
