Jamshedpur, Jan 9: The Utkal Express, running from Rishikesh to Puri, has been cancelled on Thursday due to delays caused by dense fog. As a result, the train will not arrive at Tatanagar on Friday morning, leaving passengers from Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Uttarakhand in distress.
On Thursday, several other trains, including those from Tatanagar to Hatia, Bilaspur, Jhargram, and Asansol, were also cancelled. The Ranchi-Howrah Intercity Express skipped Tatanagar due to a route change. Railways cited ongoing line blocks in the Ranchi, Adra, and Chakradharpur divisions as the reason for these disruptions.
