Jamshedpur/Kolkata: South Eastern Railway has announced major regulation of train services in view of developmental works to be undertaken in Bilaspur Division. The regulation will include cancellation, diversion and short termination/origination of several trains during the period between 27th August and 15th September 2025.
Train Cancellations
A total of 24 trains will remain cancelled on specific dates. Daily services such as 18113 Tatanagar–Bilaspur (30.08.25 to 02.09.25) and its return service 18114 Bilaspur–Tatanagar (31.08.25 to 03.09.25) will not run. Similarly, 18109/18110 Tatanagar–NSCB Itwari–Tatanagar will remain cancelled on 3rd September. Weekly services to be affected include 20822 Santragachi–Pune (30.08.25), 20821 Pune–Santragachi (01.09.25), 22512 Kamakhya–LTT Mumbai (31.08.25) and its return 22511 (02.09.25). Bi-weekly 22846 Hatia–Pune (29.08.25 & 01.09.25) and return 22845 (31.08.25 & 03.09.25) are also cancelled. Other affected services include 20971/20972 Udaipur City–Shalimar, 13425/13426 Malda Town–Surat, 12905/12906 Porbandar–Shalimar, 17321/17322 Vasco Da Gama–Jasidih, 22843/22844 Bilaspur–Patna, 12261/12262 Howrah–CSMT Mumbai and 12101/12102 LTT Mumbai–Shalimar on the notified dates.
Train Diversions
Several long-distance trains will run on diverted routes to avoid affected sections. These include 12222 Howrah–Pune (30.08.25) via Jharsuguda–Titlagarh–Raipur and its return 12221 Pune–Howrah (01.09.25) via Raipur–Titlagarh–Jharsuguda. Likewise, 12262 Howrah–CSMT Mumbai (29.08.25 & 01.09.25) and 12261 CSMT–Howrah (31.08.25 & 02.09.25) will follow the same diverted routes. Similarly, 12101 LTT–Shalimar (30.08.25 & 01.09.25) and 12102 Shalimar–LTT (01.09.25 & 03.09.25) will also be diverted.
Short Termination and Short Origination
For the period from 31.08.25 to 15.09.25, MEMU services 68861 Gondia–Jharsuguda and 68862 Jharsuguda–Gondia will be short-terminated and short-originated at Bilaspur, instead of running their full stretch.
Railway authorities have requested passengers to take note of these changes and plan their journeys accordingly.
