Tatanagar: Train services hit due to one-week Rolling Block in Adra Division

Jamshedpur: The South Eastern Railway has announced the regulation of multiple coaching trains due to a one-week rolling block from February 3 to February 9, 2025, for essential track maintenance work in the Adra Division. Several trains will be affected, with cancellations, short-terminations, and diversions planned to facilitate the work. Among the cancellations, the Adra-Midnapore MEMU Passenger (68090/68089) will not run on February 3, 7, and 9, while the Asansol-Adra MEMU Passenger (68046/68045) will remain cancelled throughout the entire block period. The Asansol-Purulia MEMU Passenger (63594/63593) will not operate on February 3, 6, and 8, whereas the Jhargram-Dhanbad MEMU Express (18019/18020) will remain cancelled on February 4 and 6. Additionally, the Adra-Barabhum MEMU Passenger (68053/68054) will not run on February 6.

Short-terminations and short-originations will also impact services, with the Tatanagar-Asansol-Barabhum MEMU Passenger (68056/68060) being curtailed at Adra on February 3 and 8, suspending services between Adra and Asansol. Similarly, the Adra-Barabhum MEMU Passenger (68053/68054) will be short-terminated at Purulia on February 3 and 4, affecting services between Purulia and Barabhum. The Chakradharpur-Gomoh MEMU Express (18116/18115) will be short-terminated at Mahuda on February 7, with services between Mahuda and Gomoh remaining suspended.

Meanwhile, the Tatanagar-Hatia Express (18601) will be diverted via Chandil-Govindpur Road-Muri instead of Chandil-Purulia-Kotshila-Muri on February 7 and 9. Railway authorities have urged passengers to check train schedules before traveling and cooperate during this period, as the maintenance work is crucial for ensuring safe and smooth operations.
