Jamshedpur: For the Maha Kumbh Mela, Indian Railways has introduced special trains to accommodate the influx of pilgrims travelling to and from the sacred event. South Eastern Railway has listed several special trains operating between key stations to facilitate smooth travel for the pilgrims. These trains will run on various dates in January and February 2025, ensuring that devotees can easily reach the event and return home.
The special trains include the 08057 Tatanagar-Tundla Special, which will commence on 19th January 2025, and the 08058 Tundla-Tatanagar Special, which will run starting 21st January 2025. Other important routes include the 08067 Ranchi-Tundla Special starting on 19th January 2025, and the 08068 Tundla-Ranchi Special, which will run on 20th January 2025. For passengers traveling from the south, the 07107 Tirupati-Banaras Special will run on 18th January, 8th February, 15th February, and 22nd February 2025, while the 07108 Banaras-Vijayawada Special will be available on 20th January, 10th February, 17th February, and 24th February 2025. The 07109 Narasapur-Banaras Special will operate on 25th January and 1st February 2025, and the 07110 Banaras-Narasapur Special will run on 27th January and 3rd February 2025.
Additionally, there are several other special services connecting major stations. The 08425 Bhubaneswar-Tundla Special will operate on 1st January, 8th January, 22nd January, 5th February, 19th February, and 26th February 2025, while the 08426 Tundla-Bhubaneswar Special will run on 3rd January, 10th January, 24th January, 7th February, 21st February, and 28th February 2025. The 08417 Puri-Tundla Special will run on 20th January and 17th February 2025, and the 08418 Tundla-Puri Special will operate on 22nd January and 19th February 2025. Lastly, the 08314 Titlagarh-Tundla Special will run on 9th January, 16th January, 23rd January, 6th February, 20th February, and 27th February 2025, and the 08313 Tundla-Titlagarh Special will be available on 11th January, 18th January, 25th January, and 8th February 2025.
These special trains are part of Indian Railways’ efforts to ensure a smooth and convenient journey for the large number of pilgrims expected for the Kumbh Mela.
