Tatanagar: Special Rath Yatra Train departs from Badampahar for Puri

Jamshedpur, July 6:  In anticipation of the Rath Yatra in Puri, the railway has initiated a special train service from Badampahar to Puri via Tatanagar. The train was flagged off from Badampahar station on Saturday by Odisha’s Minister of Forest and Environment, Ganesh Ram Singh. Hundreds of passengers were ready to embark on their journey to Puri.

The train departed from Badampahar station at 6 AM. Although it was scheduled to arrive at Tatanagar at 8:20 AM, it reached 15 minutes late. The train was expected to reach Puri at 9:15 PM. The return journey from Puri would begin at 2:30 AM, arrive at Tatanagar at 2:10 PM and reach Badampahar at 6:15 PM.

This is the first time a special Rath Yatra train is operating between Tatanagar and Badampahar to Puri. According to the South Eastern Railway Zone, the Rath Yatra Special Train will run from July 6 to July 16, ensuring that devotees of Lord Jagannath could attend the celebrations without any inconvenience.
