Jamshedpur, April 6: South Eastern Railway here on Wednesday floated a tender worth Rs 40 lakh for the construction of a separate parking stand for the railway employees at Tatanagar railway station. The last date for filling up the tender form is 6^th May.

Sources said the Railway employees were demanding a separate parking space for the last two decades. The issue was also raised by the various Railway unions. After so long, the issue reached the South Eastern Railway headquarters and the ball has finally started rolling. The Rail Division authorities had sought details for the proposed parking space for starting the tender process.

The railway employees have been parking their vehicles in the four-decades old parking stand. Till before two decades, the employees were not charged any fee for parking. But now they pay monthly parking charges, sources said.
