Jamshedpur, April 6: Seraikela-Kharsawan police arrested four persons in connection with the incident of stone pelting and firing in Gumti Basti under Adityapur police station area on Monday.
Those arrested were identified as Golu Gupta, Vishal Gupta alias Chhotu Gupta, Imran Khan and Mohammad Saleem.
According to Alok Kumar Dubey, Officer-in-Charge, Adityapur police station, raids are on to nab the other associates of the accused persons. A group of around 10 youths pelted stones on the house of one Sanjay Das in Gumti Basti late Monday night. The culprits also resorted to firing to intimidate Das and later vandalized four vehicles in the locality. The situation turned volatile after the incident.
Cops said two of the accused persons are relatives of the local Councilor Virendra Gupta.
