Jamshedpur MP inaugurates the new facility
Jamshedpur, Feb 26: After years of wait the second entry gate to Tatanagar railway station from Burmamines end was inaugurated by Jamshedpur MP Bidhyut Barun Mahto.
MLA Saryu Roy and MLA Mangal Kalindi, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industries president Vijay Anand Moonka along with Chakradharpur Railway Division’s DRM Vijay Kumar Sahu and Senior DCM Manish Pathak were among those present. Along with this, the facility of a ticket counter at the Burmamines end has also been provided to the railway passengers. Half of the city’s population will now get its benefit.
Addressing the gathering, Mahto said that traffic problems at Tatanagar station will be reduced as soon as the second entry gate and foot overbridge are inaugurated. The MP also demanded to build a walking track at the Baghbera Wireless Ground.

DRM Vijay Kumar Sahu said that with the inauguration of the second entry gate, a new chapter has been added in the convenience of railway passengers. The benefit of this will be given to the passengers coming to catch the train from Burmamines side. In the coming days, the facility of catering and waiting room will also be provided to the railway passengers. Parking facilities will also be provided to the passengers.
While conducting the program, Senior DCM of Chakradharpur Railway Division Manish Pathak said that the foundation stone of the foot over bridge was laid on 18 October 2018. The demand for second entry was very old, which has been fulfilled by the Railways. In the coming days also, more facilities will be provided to the railway passengers traveling from Tatanagar railway station. At the beginning of the program, all the guests were welcomed by DRM by wearing a shawl.

Meanwhile, railway officials informed that the second entrance will help passengers coming from Sakchi, Golmuri, Baridih and Telco areas of the steel city. Funds to the tune of Rs 2 crore were spent for developing the second entrance, work for which began in 2010.
