Jamshedpur/Bhubaneswar, Aug 13: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will inaugurate the Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (02823), featuring state-of-the-art Tejas coaches, in a ceremony to be held on Monday, August 14.
The train, which has been equipped with advanced Tejas coaches, boasts the capability to operate at a speed of 200 km per hour. These coaches are fitted with a range of modern amenities, including electro-pneumatic assisted brakes, passenger information system, electronic passenger reservation chart that is integrated with the infotainment system—LCD screens positioned at the back of each seat.
Other features of Tejas Coaches are: Automatic entrance plug type door, Improved Inter-car Gangway, Re-designed e-leather upholstery in seats, Improved lavatory-vacuum assisted flushing with bio-toilets (only 9 lavatories in complete rake are with vacuum assisted flushing, rest are normal flushing, Provision for Wi-Fi facility – system to be installed by Railways, Call bell, Fire and smoke detection system, Fire suppression system in power cars, Provision of CCTV Cameras, Improved aesthetics with new interior and exterior colour scheme presenting a futuristic look with the use of Vinyl sheets, Smart windows with automatic venetian blinds, Mobile laptop charging points through USB board provided on LCD screens of infotainment system, Integrated Braille displays, Sensorised taps, flushing system, hand driers, tissue paper dispenser and soap dispenser for touch less experience of toilet use and eater level indicators.
