Tatanagar: Key trains cancelled and diverted for North Eastern Railway upgrades

Jamshedpur:In a strategic move aimed at enhancing the rail infrastructure in the North Eastern Railway, developmental works have been planned, necessitating the regulation and diversion of several key train services. The move comes as part of the railway’s commitment to modernizing its facilities and ensuring a safer and more efficient travel experience for passengers. Commencing from the 8th of January 2024, these changes are expected to persist until the 15th of January 2024.

Cancellation of Trains: 15028 Gorakhpur-Hatia Express: Period: 09.01.2024 to 14.01.2024. Passengers relying on this route will need to explore alternative travel options during this temporary cancellation period.

15027 Hatia-Gorakhpur Express: Period: 10.01.2024 to 15.01.2024. Passengers intending to travel on this route should consider rescheduling their journeys during the specified dates.

Diversion of Trains: 18181 Tatanagar-Thawe Express: Period: Journey commencing from 08.01.2024 to 13.01.2024.Diverted Route: Chhapra Gramin-Khairah-Masrakh-Gopalganj-Thawe. The diversion aims to ensure minimal disruption while providing a workaround for passengers relying on this service. 18182 Thawe-Tatanagar Express:

Period: Journey commencing from 09.01.2024 to 14.01.2024. Diverted Route: Thawe-Gopalganj-Masrakh-Khairah-Chhapra Gramin. The diversion has been strategically planned to maintain connectivity and minimize inconvenience.

An official of North Eastern Railway said: “We understand that these temporary changes might inconvenience our passengers, and we sincerely regret any disruption caused. However, these measures are crucial for the ongoing development works that will ultimately lead to a safer and more efficient rail network. We appreciate the cooperation of our passengers during this period.”

Ananya Dutta, a regular commuter on the Hatia-Gorakhpur Express, shared her thoughts, “While the cancellation is inconvenient, I understand the importance of modernizing our rail infrastructure. I hope the railway authorities ensure the smoothest transition possible.”
