Tatanagar: Ispat, Jan Shatabdi Express including nine trains cancelled due to line block

 

Jamshedpur, July 6: South Eastern Railway Zone announced cancellation of several trains due to planned repair works and line blocks. This affected many passengers traveling through various districts of Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha.

Affected Trains and Routes:

  1. Santragachi-Andul Line Block: Scheduled for Saturday, this block will halt services on the Howrah-Barbil Jan Shatabdi Express, Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Express, and Jagdalpur-Howrah Sambaleshwari Koraput Express in both directions.
  2. Kharkai River Bridge Repair: The repair work between Tatanagar and Adityapur on Saturday will result in the cancellation of trains from Tatanagar to Hatia, Barkakana, Purulia, and Guwa. Additionally, the Dhanbad-Tatanagar Swarnarekha Express and Asansol-Tatanagar MEMU train will not operate up to Tatanagar.
  3. Adra Division Line Block:
    • The Dhanbad-Jhargram MEMU train passing through Tatanagar is cancelled on Monday, July 7.
    • The Jhargram-Purulia MEMU train will be canceled in both directions on July 8, 15, and 16.
    • The Purushottam Express, departing from Puri and Delhi, will be rerouted via Purulia to Bhojudih and will not service Bokaro.

The decision to cancel and reroute trains is expected to cause significant inconvenience for hundreds of passengers in the affected regions. The railway authorities have urged travellers to check for updates and make necessary arrangements in light of these disruptions.
