Tatanagar: Festival special trains announced

Jamshedpur, August 30: In anticipation of the upcoming festival season, special trains have been scheduled to accommodate the increased passenger demand. Two prominent routes will see the introduction of these Festival Special trains.

The 06089/06090 MGR Chennai Central-Santragachi-MGR Chennai Central Special will operate weekly. Train 06089 will depart from MGR Chennai Central every Wednesday from 4th September to 27th November 2024 at 13:30 hrs, arriving in Santragachi at 20:50 hrs the following day. The return service, 06090, will leave Santragachi every Thursday from 5th September to 28th November 2024 at 23:40 hrs, reaching MGR Chennai Central at 09:00 hrs on the third day. This special train will have stops at Baleshwar and Kharagpur within the South Eastern Railway (SER) jurisdiction.

Additionally, the 01107/01108 LTT Mumbai-Santragachi-LTT Mumbai Special will also be available for travel during the festive period. Train 01107 will depart from LTT Mumbai on 29th October and 5th November 2024 at 20:15 hrs, arriving in Santragachi at 05:00 hrs on the third day. The return service, 01108, will leave Santragachi on 31st October and 7th November 2024 at 15:50 hrs, arriving at LTT Mumbai at 23:45 hrs the next day. This train will stop at key stations including Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, and Kharagpur in the SER jurisdiction.
