Jamshedpur, Feb 23: The Tatanagar-Ernakulam express train is set to run for four days in February and March via Chaibasa and Juruli stations, as directed by the East Coast Railway Zone. From February 28 to March 3, the train departing from Ernakulam and Tatanagar will travel via Juruli and follow the pre-determined route on the remaining days. The diversion is attributed to ongoing work on the third line at Pavathipuram, Gumada, Jimidipeta, and Kaneru stations of the Waltair Railway Division.
As a result of this diversion, eight trains originating from other states have been canceled, and rescheduling is planned for four trains. Ten trains are also expected to operate on the altered route. Passengers who have already booked tickets for destinations such as Chakradharpur and Rourkela may face inconveniences due to these changes. Railways are notifying passengers about the altered routes through mobile messages, and people are seeking alternative solutions at inquiry centers. The changes also impact two Tatanagar trains heading to Yesvantpur and Bengaluru, rerouted for five days due to line repair work in the Vijayawada Railway Division of the South East Zone. Passengers traveling to South India from Kolhan and Odisha during this period may encounter transportation challenges. Railways are actively communicating these changes to passengers to keep them informed.
