Tatanagar-Danapur, South Bihar Express train service extended till Arrah

Jamshedpur, Aug 31: In a promising development for the residents of Bihar, the Tata-Danapur Express train is set to broaden its reach to Arrah, enhancing connectivity in the region. Alongside this extension, several other trains, including the South Bihar Express (Rajendranagar – Durg), Rajendranagar – Howrah – Rajendranagar Express, and Patna – Hatia Patliputra Express, will also now extend their routes up to Arrah station in Bihar. This significant decision was facilitated following a request made by RK Singh, Member of Parliament from Arrah, and has received the green light from the Northeast Central Railway.

Confirmation of this development was conveyed via a letter from the East Central Railway to the Senior Divisional Operating Manager of Danapur.

While the new timetable for the extended route is yet to be finalized, the starting date of this enhanced service will be announced in due course. The journey between Danapur and Arrah spans approximately 39 kilometers. Timings of the train and the duration of the journey will be meticulously planned and shared with the public.

Presently, it has been decided that the train will depart from Tatanagar at 8:15 am, arriving at Danapur around 7:30 pm. Subsequently, it will leave Danapur for Arrah at 7:35 pm, reaching Arrah by approximately 8:30 pm. The return leg from Danapur to Tata will commence at 04:45 am, reaching Danapur at 05:40 am. After a brief five-minute halt, the train will resume its journey from Danapur at 5:45 pm, concluding its route at Tatanagar station by 5:15 pm.
