Bank hosts cyber security workshop in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, August 31: A workshop was organized by ICICI Bank on Thursday in the Multipurpose Hall located in Bistupur police station premises.

Jamshedpur SSP Prabhat Kumar and Cyber DSP Jayshree Kujur, apart from the police and technical cell personnel of cyber station were present. In this workshop, it was explained by the bank that if someone becomes a victim of cyber fraud, then how the bank can help in this.

Regional Manager of ICICI Bank Sushant Nayak, who was present on the spot, said that in today’s era, cyber thugs are targeting people in many ways. On getting information about fraud, the victim first reaches the bank where he is given all the information. After which he reaches the local police station to complain.

Apart from this, the police personnel present on the spot were told that after the complaint of fraud, after informing the concerned bank, the account to which the money has been transferred should be frozen immediately so that transactions cannot be done from the said account. Apart from this, information was also given about how the bank can help the police in preventing fraud.

During this, SSP Prabhat Kumar told that at present the team of Cyber and Technical Cell has been kept in this workshop. In future, this workshop will be conducted at the police station level so that all the police stations have information about cyber.
