Tatanagar-Chakulia flagged off, more trains in the offing

Jamshedpur : Keeping in view the popular demand of the people of Tatanagar and Chakulia, a passenger train between Tatanagar-Chakulia was flagged off by Vidyut Baran Mahto, Jamshedpur MP in presence of Rajib Agarwal, divisional railway manager, Chakradharpur at Tatanagar Station on Friday.

Mahto expressed his satisfaction for introduction of this daily passenger train between Tatanagar and Chakulia which would immensely help the people of Tatanagar, Chakulia and adjoining areas. Mahto also said that he would help the railways in every possible way for the betterment of the people.

58032 Tatanagar-Chakulia Passenger leaving Tatanagar at 11:15 hours will reach Chakulia at 12:40 hours. In the return direction, 58031 Chakulia-Tatanagar Passenger leaving Chakulia at 13:35 hours will arrive Tatanagar at 15:00 hours. This daily passenger train will stop at Salgajhari, Govindapur, Asanboni, Rakhamines, Galudih, Ghatsila, Dalbhumgarh and Kokpara between Tatanagar and Chakulia.

Divisional Railway Manager, Chakradhrpur, Shri Rajib Agarwal while addressing the gathering said that this daily passenger train between Tatanagar and Chakulia would fulfill the long standing demand of the people of Tatanagar, Chakulia and the people of in between stations.

Dvisional Rly. Manager/Chakradharpur also said that S E Railway has always strived hard for running trains punctually and ensuring safety and security to the passengers. He added that though Chakradharpur is known as a freight loading and revenue generating division of S E Railway but a number of initiatives has been taken recently to improve passenger amenities. He said that Tatanagar will get more trains.

The Tatanagar station assumes importance in view because it is located on the Howrah-Mumbai main route. Several important trains travel via Tatanagar, including the high-profile Rajdhani Express and Duronto Express. The station sees a daily traffic of 90 mail, express and passenger trains, besides a footfall of more than 60,000 passengers.
