Jamshedpur, June 01: Tata Steel Zoological Park regrets to announce the sad demise of a male Zebra at about 10:15 pm on May 31, 2016.
A post mortem was conducted on June 01, 2016 to ascertain the exact cause of death of the animal in the presence of Dr D K Chourasia and Dr Debasis Deb, Veterinary Officers from Animal Husbandry Department of Government of Jharkhand. It was determined that the Zebra died due to cardiac arrest due to cerebral haemorrhage.
The Divisional Forest Officer, Jamshedpur and the Assistant Conservator of forests, Jamshedpur were present during the post mortem examination. The Zoo now has one male and two female zebras.
